JAY WHITTAKER

I'm Jay, I'm a freelance Dubbing Mixer, Sound Designer/Editor and Composer with plenty of experience mixing in Stereo and 5.1 broadcast TV across all genres. I am Avid Pro Tools Certified and also member of The Association of Motion Picture Sound (AMPS).

I have been in the audio and music industry for many years. Starting out as a guitarist at the age of 7, and then onto recording and assisting Grammy award winning and platinum selling mix engineers.

Having initially turned down a job working for a large Post Production facility in my late teens to pursue my musical career, I decided that this was something I would revisit in years to come. Later this passion for Film, TV & Audio Post Production pushed me into working on some local Indie Films & Corporate Video projects as a production sound mixer, before finally making the move on to be a Sound FX Editor and Re-recording/Dubbing Mixer.

 

Currently working on drama, HETV and factual programs for the BBC, Channel 4, Lime Pictures, Big Wave TV, Off The Wall, Channel 5, ITN Films, AO.com, Gibson Guitars UK, Elemo Global, We Love This, and have huge experience creating National Radio Spots.
